Born in Aichi, and now resides in Tokyo.

Kawanishi Takahi is publicly accepted as an artist who expresses sense that are hard to put into words as an art work.
As an artist, his　works are positively perceived especially in Europe.

Other than presenting his works in the high-art community, he has provided works for the posters used in the magazine "Dased & Confused Japan" and "Relax".

In the past he has made the book sleeves for "Smart Cunt" by Irvine Welsh, "Weetzie bat" by Francesca Lia Block.
