木村華子
Hanako Kimura
京都府出身、大阪市在住。同志社大学文学部美学芸術学科卒業。
商業フォトグラファーとして広告や雑誌などで撮影する傍、2011年頃から自身のライフワークとして作品制作を開始。
主に「存在する/存在していない」などの両極端と捉えられている事象の間に横たわる広大なグレーゾーンに触れることをステートメントの中心に据え、コンセプチュアルな作品を展開する。
また近年は写真表現だけに留まらず立体作品、コラージュ、ドローイング、インスタレーションなども手がけており、
展示型コンペ「UNKNOWN ASIA 2018」にてグランプリを受賞した際には写真にネオンライトを組み合わせ、実際に青い光が点灯する作品を発表した。
Originally from Kyoto Prefecture, currently lives in Osaka City. Graduated from Doshisha University's Faculty of Literature Aesthetics and Arts.
While she working as a commercial photographer for advertisements and magazines, she began creating own art project works on the side in 2011.
She creates conceptual works around a core statement about to touch upon the vast gray zone that lies between things that have been captured on the meaning of opposites, such as "existing" and "not existing"
In recent years, she has been also using expressions other than photographic , such as sculptures, collages, drawings, and installation art.
When she won the grand prix at the competition "UNKNOWN ASIA 2018", she presented a work that combined neon lights with photos and actually turned on blue light.
