榎本マリコ
Mariko Enomoto
日本画家であった祖父母の影響もあり、幼い頃から自然と絵のある環境で育った榎本マリコ。
ファッションを学んだのち、独学で絵を描き、雑誌の挿画やミュージシャンのCDデザインなどで活躍している。
2017年4月に渋谷のヒカリエの開催された「MONSTER Exhibition 2017」に選出された榎本マリコは、同年10月の「hpgrp Gallery New York」の展示にも参加した。
2017年8月の「Independent Tokyo」においても参加者約120名の中で準グランプリを獲得し、同年11月の「Ashok Jain Gallery」におけるニューヨークでの展示が決まった。
いっきに海外、特にニューヨークでの展示が立て続けに決定し、大きなうねりが榎本マリコには来ている。
榎本マリコの表現する作品は、これまで見たこともない不思議な世界を創りだし、シュールな雰囲気を醸し出している。
人間と動物や植物が一体となったり、絶対にありえない情景を描き出すが、そこにはなぜか違和感を感じさせない力強さがあるのである。
彼女の現実離れした世界観は脳内の空想の世界を抜け出し、我々にあらためて見えてくる事実を突きつけてくるからだ。
海外での展示経験から導かれる榎本マリコの快進撃は今後も続いていくことが予想される。
まだまだこれからの若手アーティストだけにこれからの活躍は目が離せない。
今のうちに成長途上の作品を買っておくことは、将来の期待値に必ずしも応えてくれるだろう。
There was the influence of her grandparents who were Japanese painters, and since childhood she grew up in an environment with nature and paintings.Enomoto Mariko. After learning fashion, she taught herself to draw, and she is very active in designing CDs and providing illustrations for magazines.
Mariko Enomoto was selected for the 2017 MONSTER Exhibition , which was held in Shibuya's Hikarie in July. This year she has also been exhibited in October at the hpgrp Gallery in New York. She also won the Second Prize from about 120 artists in the Independent Tokyo thisAugust , and was selected for an exhibition in New York at the Ashok Jain Gallery in November. Enomoto Mariko has gathered a lot of momentum both home and abroad, especially in New York. In her work, Enomoto Mariko creates a surreal atmosphere and a strange world that has never been seen before. Although human beings, animals and plants are put together in scenes that seem absolutely impossible, there is something that does not make you feel uncomfortable somehow. Her world view which breaks away from reality is a fantasy world that comes out of her brain, and thrusts facts at us so that we can see them anew.
Enomoto Mariko's rise, which is a result of her overseas exhibitions, is expected to continue in the future. We have to keep an eye on the activities of this young artist in the future. Purchasing works in the midst of its present work will surely fulfill future expectations.
