写真家として知られる永瀬ですが、今回は“CUT-OUT(切り絵)”の手法に挑み、制作した作品です。永瀬が大きな紙をジオメトリックに切り抜いてゆき、大量にカットアウトされたペーパーの中で戯れる女性を撮影した写真のシリーズです。永瀬沙世の新たな一面をご覧いただけます。10点をボルト止めにしたアーティト・ブックであり、ポートフォリオでもある。ドイツの出版社シュタイデルのブックアワードに出品し、100点の最終選考に残りました。

Known as a photographer, Nagase this time challenged the method of "cut-out" and worked out a series of photographs.
Nagase cut the large pieces of paper in geometric patterns and took photographs of a woman playing with the large amount of cut-out paper. They will show you a new side of Sayo Nagase.

Profile

1978年兵庫県生まれ。東京をベースに活動するアーティスト、写真家、ヨモギブックス主催。
現在まで7冊の写真集を制作。「Asphalt & Chalk」(2011年)と「PINK LEMONADE」(2013年)はパリを拠点とするストックホルムの「LIBRARYMAN社」から出版された。
2016年夏には写真集/個展『SPRITE(スプライト)』を発表、今秋に『CUT-OUT』をGALLERY 360°(東京・表参道)で開催。

SAYO NAGASE | Born in 1978, Sayo Nagase is a Tokyo based artist, photography, founded YOMOBIBOOKS. In the summer of 2016, her photography book “SPRITE” was published and this Autumn sees her solo exhibition “CUT-OUT" opening at Gallery 360, Tokyo. She has released seven photography books. "PINK LEMONADE” and "Asphalt & Chalk” were published by Librarian, a Paris and Stockholm based publisher.
